My name is Morgan Bassett, and I’m a senior at Elon University majoring in Professional Writing & Rhetoric with a minor in American Studies. After graduation, I will begin my master's degree in Legislative Affairs at George Washington University.

 

This portfolio contains writing and design pieces that fall into three categories: academic writing, multimodal writing, and advocacy writing. These pieces were composed within the bounds of a PWR course, minor-related course, Congressional internship, and a healthcare employment position. Each reflects areas of personal growth in terms of genre adaptability, audience engagement, and effective argumentation of personal and outside ideas. 

 

I selected Wix to produce my digital portfolio because of its broad-ranging design features. The site’s appearance (i.e., color, font, and specialized elements) was intended to match my resume design, in order to create continuity as I transition from the outlining of professional experiences to individualized analysis of documents.
